Bottled Builder's Description

WHAT IS BUILDER GEL?

So, what exactly is a builder gel? Builder gels are a much thicker gel: applied the same as gel polish, they can not only build length and shape but will add exceptional strength to a nail. Builder gels can be used either for natural nail overlays or for nail extensions. While many builder gels come in a pot and a separate brush, our Builder in a Bottle options contain everything you need in one handy little bottleΒ 

DIRECTIONSΒ 

Prep nails as usual, apply dehydrator and prime the natural nail .Apply a tiny bead of clear builder and firmly brush that over the nail (i like to use a firm gel brush for this step to really push that product into the grooves of the nail plate for maximum adhesion) CURE for 60 sec. Apply a thin slip layer of your chosen shade ensuring full coverage of the nail plate, avoiding the surrounding skin (do not cure, this acts as a guide for your builder layer) Apply your builder layer starting at the cuticle area and slowly and lightly work the product down the nail using a side to side motion. Before curing, lightly go around the cuticle and side wall areas with a fine liner brush to achieve that neat, flush finish. CURE for 60 sec. check the structure of the nail and if necessary add an extra bead at the stress zone if needed (and cure 60sec) Remove tacky layer ready to file and shape the nail.

GEL POLISH SDS

Rubber Base Description

Rubber base gels are specifically designed for flexibility, hence the term "rubber base". It has a thinner consistency than a builder gel has so it works well with nails that are flexible, thin, or damaged, providing a less rigid coating that moves with the nail plate. This makes them ideal for these nail types but less effective for strong or dry nail plates, which can be rigid or brittle..

The choice between a rubber base gel or aΒ builder gelΒ depends on your nail condition and the desired outcome. If you're looking to protect and strengthen thin or flexible nails, a rubber base gel is a good option,Β  but if your aim is for longer, sturdier nails, builder gel could be the better option.Β

DIRECTIONS:

NATURAL NAIL OVERLAY

The perfect middle ground between a gel polish and a builder gel!Β 

*After you have thourghly prepped the natural nail ready for product it's time to apply your acid free primer.Β 

*Apply a thin layer of clearΒ  Rubber Base Gel and really "push" this into the natural nail using firm brush strokes. Cure for 60secΒ 

*With your chosen Rubber Base Shade brush the gel down onto the nail plate as if it were a gel polish, taking care not to touch the cuticle/sidewalls with the product. Be sure to cover the body of the nail with a thin even coverage of the gel.

*Using a fine liner brush carefully guide the product around to ensure a flush application . Cure in your LED for 60 (deeper more pigmented shades 90sec) lamp specifications 36wt 365nm -405nm.

*Do not remove the tacky layer. Apply a second thin coat of your chosen shade of Rubber Base Gel ensuring full coverage over the surface of the natural nail . Cure in LED for 60 seconds (90sec for deeper pigmented shades) Lamp specifications 36wt 365nm- 405nmΒ 

*Check the nail from all angles to ensure proper apex placement. If necessary, apply a small amount of Rubber Base to the upper arch. Cure in LED for 60 seconds. Once happy with your placement remove the tacky layer with your Cleanse.

*Refine if necessary using your 180 Grit File/Buffer.

*Remove the dust, and you are now ready to apply gel polish colour or top coat to finish the serviceΒ

DIRECTIONS..

1. Prep the nails/cuticle work throughly as usual.

2. Apply your Primer to the nail surface

3. Using a small amount of clear builder gel, place that onto the nail surface and really "scrub that into the nail plate/ tip if applicable, cure for 60 sec led

4. With your chosen shade, pick up a bead accounting to length of enhancement and place at the cuticle area, gently 'walk the product down the nail using side to side movements to ensure the surface of the nail is covered.

5. Using a fine liner brush, gently refine the product around the cuticle and side walls to ensure a flush application

6. Turn your clients hand upside down for a few seconds to help gravity pull the product creating your apex, flip the hand over and double check the structure, if happy pop the clients nail into the lamp and cure 60/90 sec led

7. Remove the tacky layer with IPA and ready to file and finish.

We reccomend only 1/2 nails at a time between curing.
